Throughout my life I have been involved in sports such as soccer, tennis and ice hockey.  As an adult I took up the sport of mountain biking.  My love for riding

After completing the 7 day BC Bike Race I had pushed my mental and physical abilities to new limits. This left me wanting a new challenge that would continue to push my abilities.  Ironman fit into this criteria perfectly.

Cancer is a deadly disease that affects everyone in some capacity.  Cancer has personally affected my life through my best friend Corey.  Corey lost her brother Steve to leukemia in 1998.  This tragedy lead me to sign up for IronCops in order to raise money for cancer research.  I would like to honor Corey and her family by dedicating my Ironman race to Stephen "Stevie" Hayward.
