Hi! My name is Brodie Garrison and I am a Auxiliary constable with the Prince George BC RCMP Detachment.  Although cancer has not yet had it's influence on my family, I have a lot of close friends who have had to go to battle with cancer.  Some winning, some losing.  This is why I am choosing to raise money for cancer through Ironcops for Cancer and racing in Ironman Canada . The strength and courage my friends have shown to overcome this fight and the physical and mental obstacles they have been through makes the Ironman look like a walk in the park.  I enjoy a lot of different sports but none test your mental and physical courage like a triathlon.  In May at our 24hr cancer relay I pledged to our team to run for 24 hours straight.  I ran for 14 hours  before fatigue set in and I could no longer run. We raised some money and we had a lot of fun that day.  Pushing your body to the max and raising some money along the way to go towards a cause that we so desperately need to find a cure for and being able to say “I raced for a cure, and for my friends” .....that's what it's all about.
