- Our fourth spot has just been taken with the Buy
Now feature for $425! Denise Jackson of California
will be joining us in Oliver as she had to defer her planned March race
(where Michellie was also racing) because of an injury. And the fun
continues as Joe and Sarah have confirmed our fifth race registration for
Oliver (Joe mumbled something about how we must have "caught him in a really
good mood" this past fall when he committed to all of this madness - I won't
even repeat what Sarah said to Joe).
- Our third spot has just been taken for
$300! There will be at least one more in about 10 days so
stay tuned....
- Our second Oliver Half Iron Registration for the 2008 race was snatched
up by Marc Blythe who snuck in a bid at the last minute to
steal the spot for only $250! He told me that he had no interest in
bringing down the average price, so in an amazing show of charity, he upped his
own winning price to $350 when he paid online through the
Canadian Cancer Society web donation portal. Thank you, Marc and we'll
see you at the race
- Our first Online Auction item was an Oliver
Half Iron registration for the 2008 race. The bidding got heated and in
the end, Anna Bosa took the Buy Now option and secured the
spot! Thank-you Anna for your $400 donation towards the
Ironcops campaign for the Canadian Cancer Society.

Online Auction
Over the years, Ironcops has enjoyed the support of a huge
cross-section of individuals and organizations. We are constantly provided
with goods and services that we use to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer
Society. We hold raffles, we provide door prizes at fundraising events but
it was clear that we needed something else to make all of these great things
available to the public.
So we told our web master (who is not so much a web master as
he is the guy who didn't make it to the meeting when the job was being handed
out) that he should set up an online auction site. After 2 nights of
Google searching and 4 pots of coffee, he managed to get some code from the
great people at eAuction and our auction site was born!
The best part about our auction site is that it is completely
hosted by us so 100% of all funds raised on the site go
directly to the Canadian Cancer Society. All of the bidders
information stays right where it belongs and all of the money goes right where
it should. Go ahead, give it a try! There will be many treasures
available.

Police for a day - on the water??
Well here it is. A two to four hour police boat experience in the
Vancouver harbour could be yours. Hurry as this will close on June
15th at noon.
There will be a requirement that the successful bidder must undergo a
records and security check and after this, there will be a lifetime memory
waiting for you to board.

Champion, Michellie Jones won the woman's elite contest on a day that saw
improving weather conditions that resulted in some amazingly fast times and
