Friends of the Ironcops
Team BC had a tremendous 2 year drive that resulted in over $130,000 raised
for the Canadian Cancer Society in 2006. Our second time representing BC
for Team Ironman saw us grow from 8 to 24 members and our fundraising was 4
times that of the 2004 campaign.
None of this would have been possible without some very special friends
helping us along the way. We wish to take this opportunity to recognize
some of our key supporters and look forward to working with them again!
All of these friends have valuable products and services that we encourage you
to try.

Our friends Joe & Sarah Dixon of Outback Events
continue to go out of their way to accommodate Team Ironman. Their
races in Osoyoos & Oliver are world class and a new event in Cultus
Lake is another jewel in their crown!

In 2005, 11 time Ironman Champion Lisa Bentley of
Canada agreed to be an honorary Ironcop. She was there for us
all the way with an outstanding Ironcops training camp in the summer of
2006, she committed Tri Dubai to support our efforts, and she and
her husband Dave Cracknell always make time for us whenever we saw them.

Northwest Coast Artist Andy Everson honored us by
creating the breathtaking print, "Flight". This print
depicts an eagle and the silhouette of a cyclist inspired by Team Ironman
and Cops for Cancer. Andy has completed "Footprints" inspired by the
run and is finalizing the third and final print in the series
celebrating the swim, to be unveiled at the Art Event of February 22,
2008.

The Inuit gallery in Gastown, Vancouver patiently
taught us how to host an Art Event and introduced us to Andy
Everson. We look forward to working once again with Melanie and her
staff for our next event in the spring of 2008!

Frank from Power Bar has just always, always been
there for Team Ironman. He keeps us fueled and supported throughout
our training and racing and we truly appreciate the extra effort we
receive from this great product supplier.

It is hard not to have fun when Dave Cracknell from 2XU
(pronounced 2 times you) is around. It is also hard to not buy any
of his amazing technical gear or wetsuits. The support of Dave and
the 2XU team was very evident with their high quality, custom 2007
Ironcops uniforms. |

Kevin and the team at La Bicicletta have the knowledge and products to get
you to your first or your next starting line. These guys do bikes
and gear for triathlon! |

Friends of the Ironcops, these were the creative guys and gals who set up
the worlds first floating coffee bar 500m off shore in Kona this year at
the Ironman World Championship. Coffee in the middle of a
swim is a 'must do!' |
